Keurig 5060 27-Cup-Capacity K-Cup Spinning Carousel, Chrome Customer Reviews:Average Rating: Rating : - Five stars for Amazon, four for the product. When I received my K-Cup carousel, it was damaged; one of the spinning tiers had been smashed off the central stem and a weld from one of the holders was broken. I went online to return it, and Amazon shipped a new one out to me that very same day, even before USPS picked up the return free of charge. I've had to do this a time or two in the past, and there was never any way to rave about Amazon's service. People normally rate down if goods are received damaged, but things like this happen when shipping products.
Also, we ordered some Timothy's Midnight Magic K-Cups through Amazon's new Subscribe & Save service and, we suspect because of some early programming glitch, we did not receive the promised discount and free shipping as we did on our batch of Timothy's Rainforest. I emailed Amazon yesterday about the error, and this morning when I woke up I had an email in my box apologizing and issuing a credit for the difference. So I just wanted to send some kudos Amazon's way.
That said, I like this little carousel. It does what it's supposed to do and looks really classy sitting beside my Keurig B60. I can get 29 K-cups in it if I put two through the top on either side of the handle. Like (it seems) 95% of everything we buy, it's made in China, with typical China quality. For the price the base should be weightier, the tolerances for the welds tighter, and the spinning mechanism more smooth, but I still like it anyway. I'd buy another one if I had the counter space for it.
The only other thing that could be better about this carousel is if it had two or three more tiers. My cabinets are mounted 18" up from the counter, and three more tiers would fit, for a total of 57 K-Cups; that's enough to hold one order of two 25-count boxes from Amazon plus the remainder of a few sample packs after we each have a cup. Maybe Keurig will come up with some kind of add-on tiers that could be bought separately and just set on top. They could use the center handle as the base for the next tier to sit on or snap to and always include the handle part on the add-on. But they'd need to redesign this with a more stable, heavier base and turning mechanism in order to do that. See Full Customer Review |
